Greifswalder Str. 5, 10405 Berlin - Prenzlauer Berg | Tel: 42 10 17 77, Fax: 42 10 17 02 | S Greifswalder Str |
The first four letters give away the origins of Intertext. It used to be East GermanyÕs official translating & interpreting agency. This could be regarded as a bonus as they must have some expertise in dealing with ex-communist countries. In March 1990, Intertext transformed to a co-operative society with 130 permanent staff members and several hundred freelancers.

Intertext offers translations to and from some 80 languages. Their translators/interpreters have access to an up-to-date reference library and an in-house terminology/documentation service. 60% of their contracts are for domestic and international governmental organisations (eg in Brussels, Luxemburg), 30% are for business and industry and 10% for institutes, foundations and private individuals. Intertext also has links with Elaskustik GmbH, which supplies interpreting equipment and systems - a particular benefit for companies wanting to keep organisational problems to a minimum.
